Adieu to Final Year MABJ students




In an emotionally charged atmosphere inside the NISCORT College, the students, staff and management bid adieu to the final year MABJ students. The farewell function was held on 15th May 2014. The day started with great excitement and merriment as the MABJ 1st year and DPC students geared up to present a befitting programme. Fr. Justin said the words of thanks and appreciation to the final year MABJ students and Fr. Sunil expressed his heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the NISCORT community. The director of NISCORT, Fr. George P. addressed the outgoing students and wished them all the best. Chandy, the first year MABJ student did the MC and Fr. Victor of DPC gave the vote of thanks.
A thanksgiving mass was offered for the final year MABJ students. On this occasion, most Rev. Albert D’Souza, Secretary General CBCI, also graced the occasion by his presence and he congratulated the students.

Documentary Presentation by second year MABJ Students

On 15th May 2014, the students of MABJ (Masters in Broad cast Journalism) screened their final documentary production as part of their practical exam. Each of their documentary depicted different issues of the society. On this occasion, the director of NISCORT, Fr. George  Plathottam, SDB congratulated the MABJ students for this video production. Five Days Workshop on Storytelling

National Institute of Social Communications Research & Training invited an eminent personality for an intensive workshop for the Diploma students.  Mr. Edward T Mc Dougal an expert in Hollywood industry came from America to conduct this workshop. This five days of workshop gave students simple, yet powerful techniques of movie making. 
Mr. Edward encouraged the student to be goal oriented. The outcome of this workshop was a grand success as each student produced one short movie each. All the movies were screened on the last day of the workshop with the short programme in which some important people like president of ICMA, editor of Indian Currents were present. All the student received the certificates and three students received the awards for the best film, best hard worker and best team player respectively Sr. Sania, Fr. Joseph and Sr. Stavina. The diploma students felt a sense of satisfaction and a great happiness as this is their first step in the production of short film.
